New E Books Pertaining to Alzheimer's Now Available
I've got two companion books pertaining to Alzheimer's now uploaded to Amazon's Kindle Platform.
We Aren't Dead Yet: A Mother Daughter Late Life Adventure is a witty and moving fictionalized semi autobiographical book following the relationship between a middle aged daughter and her elderly mother when they unexpectedly find themselves living together after a 40 year hiatus.
After decades apart, the daughter chooses to remain to help her mother when, during an impromptu visit, she learns that her stepfather is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. Over time, both women are transformed by their new relationship, and by the humor that sustains them during difficult times. They both learn to live their lives without the men they love and as self encouragement, they adopt the motto, “We aren’t dead yet!” They make a bucket list, along with a hubbahubba wall of sexy senior clebs cut out from the mother’s AARP magazine. We Aren’t Dead Yet begins with the daughter adjusting to life in a senior community, and ends with the two women traveling north in an RV to bury the man they loved.

Romantic Vignettes
The bald eagle flew through a hole in the sky. Then, all went black.
The newlyweds had been watching the sky froth and boil all morning. By noontime, there were just a few patches of blue sky visible. The sun had already been swallowed by a curling wispy finger, but bright streaks of light pierced through the openings, striking the distant mountains. Only, now those last few windows were rapidly closing. In panic, they gasped as first one, then another filled in until there wasn't anything but a dark, thick undulating cloud mass.

She looked into my eyes, asking me to forgive her for the choice she was making, begging me to understand. Only, at the time, I didn't--I couldn't. All I knew was that I saw my life flying over that cliff along with her. I had no choice other than to follow.

Romantic Vignettes and Titillating Tales
Silhouetted in the rose mist of sunset, the couple stood in waist deep water, braced against the waves. Holding one another's faces, they kissed with youthful passion. Only, they weren't young, and had thought their passion spent.

Jonni liked lace. Lace and serious wrist flounces, and collar ruffles, too, as if she were a foppish darned and darted dandy. You'd think she'd have it in for velvet jackets, but she preferred leather. Silk embroidered shoes, though, she couldn't resist. You'd have thought, too, that she wore her hair in a raised pompadour, sculpted into a cresting wave peaking ten inches off her forehead. But, alas, she was shorn to the scalp and, frankly, liked it that way.

Romantic Vignettes and Titillating Tales
"I like a woman's laugh." Marty volunteered.
"Her laugh?" jeered Bill.
Zack had asked what they had all favored about women and there had been the gamut of typical responses: ass, legs, tits, eyes. But, for Marty it had always been her laugh.
"Yes," he justified flatly. "It jacks me to no end to see that I please my woman."
There was little they could say to that, not when all their answers had been superficial features that pleased them. Not when they all knew he was right. What man didn't want to please women. In fact, wasn't that the exact reason that half of their friends had left their wives over the last decade? Because they had come to feel that they no longer pleased her?
Marty wasn't meaning to somber the jovial mood. It wasn't often the old gang got together anymore, what with the kids and jobs and all. They had taken the weekend to climb Mt Washington and were now resting on the crest of the summit gazing over the mountains and valleys towards the northern horizon, their packs tumbled off their backs into a heap.
